Attempted to purchase a xmas tree with lights bundled. discovered power supply was faulty and asked for replacement. got offered another set of "used" lights with half the lights of the original on it. pretty sloppy considering xmas trees are the main cause of house fires at xmas time. cancelled the transaction for sale total of 135 for an 8 power supply (
Terrible service and wouldn't replace defective lights (broken power supply) despite me spending 135 on a Christmas tree with no box. Greedy corporate environment, I'm off to turriffs today
Appallingly awful! Went in for tea and cake while waiting for a friend. There was very little choice of cakes (about 3pm on a Saturday afternoon) so I opted for a cream scone. Sadly, the scone was brick hard and the cream a solid mass, it had obviously been in the display cabinet for some time. I left the scone and the tea went somewhere else. This is not the quality of food you would expect anywhere let along at Dobbies. Based on previous vIsits this used to be a lovely cake shop with lots of lovely fresh cream cakes - that's why I went there on this occasion. However I can't see myself returning anytime soon.
More than just the name. Its not just a place that sells plants and stuff for the garden but its a lovely place to buy something nice and special, good butcher, lovely cafe and more. Will definitely be back for the food and some shopping. Christmas decorations for the home and gifts are all set up in store now in October.
Wide selection of plants and household items. Their selection of very large plant pots could be better. Also I have found that quite a lot of the plants have pests, specifically fungus gnats. Also prices are a bit on the high side.That being said, the staff are pleasant and accommodating. The store isn't perfect, but it's certainly worth a visit.
